Happy New Years 2009!
The champagne stopped flowing and the fireworks are done popping. Now it's time for everyone to get back in the swing of things! Here's what the ESM family has been up to before the holiday season!
August
Tony Copeland came in this month with Blessing's new single "Lift Your Name On High".
Tamara Williams was in with her gospel single called "Here We Are".
Mesh Entertainment's Darnell "Blade" Brown introduced us to their new artist J-Shawn. After recording in New York, Brown brings in J-Shawn's four song, R&B CD to have mastered.
Tricia Grace came in the studio with her four song, borderline country, Southwestern rock/pop album after she worked with Jaymes "Jimmi Jaymes" Garlington at SugarHill Studios.
September
We knew where to go when the Charlie Lucas Band brought in their country rock album entitled Which Way To Turn.
Alice Davis Gales and the Pilgrim MBC Choir were united when they made their two song CD called United We Stand.
Kozmic Pearl rolled in with their self-entitled, five song CD after working with Jaymes Garlington.
CITGO Petroleum, Inc. funded a project for LatinoSoul. Their 12 song album called La Venezolanidad Tradiciones sin Fronteras was mastered with our very own Allen Corneau.
This month Hurricane Ike struck southwest Texas and many of our neighbors, friends, and families got rocked hard. We had lost power for a month with only minor damages done to both SugarHill and ourselves. Pictures can be seen on Dan Workman's blog.
October
Traveler made their way in with their 15 song folk/rock/country album entitled Possibilities.
It was soothing when we mastered Carlos Lopez's 13 song, easy listening album Different Stroke.
Tiffany Shyu came in with her classical piano and violin CDs to have mastered.
Jack Massing from The Art Guys came in to have a three CD compilation mastered. The compilation includes songs by John "Red" Trower, Loreta Kovacic, Joe Mancuso, and SugarHill's very own Dan Workman.
Paul Beebe from The Small Sounds, Disco Expressions, and many others brought in a ten song, self-entitled album for Thunderado.
November
JJ Worthen brings in his band Hello Love and their self-entitled, ten song album to have mastered.
MacAdams came in with a 12 song rock and roll album that was out of this world. Their album Two Worlds was mastered by us after they worked with Dan Workman.
It took them less than a day to get here when Days Drive came in to master their five song EP entitled Monochrome.
Although their name might sound good enough to eat, Fried Ice Cream's singles sounded just as good! They came in to master their singles "Peace in the Valley" and "Living the Life You Got".
December
Stan Keeton made memories with us this month when he came in to have his 14 song Christmas album, Christmas Memories, mastered with us.
Phil Baker was on time with his ten song album called In Time.
We got a little jazzy with Cynthia Clawson and her 14 song, self-entitled, jazz album.
So that was it for 2008! Eventful and exciting but we are sure that 2009 has much more in store for us! Hope everyone had an awesome holiday season and until next time... let's make some more music!
