Holiday Rush in full swing
The holiday rush has kept us going full steam for the past month and a half! Here's just a few of the things that have been keeping us busy.
JJ Worthen, winner of the KPRC "Gimme the Mike" contest came in to finish his two songs which were the grand prize for the contest. ESM donated the mastering time for the contest, Dan Workman produced and the songs were tracked and mixed at SugarHill Recording Studios.
The Allen Oldies Band, the craziest oldies band you've ever heard, came in to master a new album. It was recorded live on the radio from a station in New Jersey. www.allenoldiesband.com
Kingsland Baptist Church put the finishing touches on their 14-song Christmas album titled "The Glory of Christmas".
The City Kings, a classic-rock inspired group with influences from Tom Petty to Pink Floyd, stopped by to master their latest 10-song album.
Gary Edwards came in to master a new album for Dwane Dopsie and the Zydeco Hellraisers. Gary's record label, Sound of New Orleans, recently relocated to Houston after the Hurricane Katrina disaster. The mixes where remarkably recovered from a studio on a return trip to New Orleans! www.soundofneworleans.com
